Youth

“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By guarding it according to your word.”

Psalm 119:6

As a teenager, you are constantly under attack by the world to succumb to the ways of worldly things. It’s up to us to teach the youth the Word of of the Lord and how to guard their hearts and minds to defend from the world. Student ministry should be purposeful, active, engaging, and spiritual. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 models student ministry so that students will be mentored for character, instructed in doctrine, and equipped for every good work so that they will engage in effective ministry. The leaders are there to model, mentor, and equip these young ministers in Christ-like character, sound doctrine, and effective methods to reach lost peers and make disciples of their own (Matthew 28:18-20).

Youth Ministries (grades 7-12) is a ministry committed to challenging students in all areas of their walk with Christ. There are 5 purposes for our existence: Evangelism, Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry. Every program, game, activity, outreach, etc. finds its foundation in one or more of these purposes.
